Alex Guarnaschelli
Guarnaschelli, Maria Guarnaschelli's daughter , is a cookbook editor. In the year 1991, she graduated from Barnard College with an art studies degree in history. In 1991 she worked for an hourly wage at a place known as an American Place for one year. Guarnaschelli began her culinary journey in the kitchen of her mother, watching her cook and editing books. Guarnaschelli began her career in the kitchen of Larry Forgione. Her son Marc Forgione was the Iron Chef. Guarnaschelli later went on to work at various eateries in France and Los Angeles. Guy Savoy is the owner of La Butte Chaillot. Prior to joining Butter the restaurant, she served as an executive chef at the Patina restaurant, owned by Daniel Boulud and at Joachim Splichal's Patina. The restaurant was closed in the summer of 2005. she worked as the executive chef of The Darby. She chaired the museum's Culinary Council. Guarnaschelli launched her first cookbook in the year 2013. "Old School Comfort Food and the way I learned cook" is a collection of autobiographical stories and the recipes she loves from her the book that she's adapted to her home.
