Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada, is an actor most well-known for her role as Bo in The Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Silk is the daughter of Peter an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a prominent performer, actress, and playwright as well as Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. One of Anna's first memories are of attending play rehearsals and watching her mom do her job. Silk featured in a number of commercials while she was young. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least two early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk moved from Toronto in November 1999, to Los Angeles California to pursue her acting career. Seth Cooperman is her future husband, who she first discovered during her time in Los Angeles at an Actors Workshop. The couple got engaged in 2009, and then married at a civil ceremony that was held in December. When she converted to Judaism the couple were married again in a Jewish ceremony on 10 April 2011. The ceremony was held in Fredericton. Silk Cooperman gave birth to her first child Samuel Jerome Cooperman May 2013 Levi Aaron is her second son, born on the 13th of May in 2016. Silk has a number of TV roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. The actress was nominated to win Gemini Awards in 2009 to play this character. In 2009, she got the lead role as Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television show Lost Girl. Silk revealed to fans the joyous announcement that she became pregnant while filming season 3. The show was a pre-show exclusive for Season Three. This was presented by Showcase during an exclusive Season Three show held January 6, 2013, prior to the series' premiere. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the beginning of production for the fourth season and on June 20 2013 Silk announced via Twitter that she was ready to return to the series. Silk's portrayal of Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender in the show Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top TV Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) and named the Top Television Couple of 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Silk is the result, and its growing popularity on social networks has grown to a huge online following.
